This Saturday, October 10th at 10:00 am there will be our final AAPOA General Membership Meeting of the year in the Community Center in AuSable Forks.
One item on the agenda we will be discussing is the “Draft of Incidental Business” that was distributed at the July meeting. The purpose of the document is to further define Covenant #1 in the deeded Covenants and Restrictions that bind all AuSable Acres property owners. That covenant states: “No commercial use of the property shall be made except that property or buildings may be rented to private families for private use.” The working draft further defines and clarifies that language, written in the 1960s, in terms that better reflect people who can now work from home without impacting the residential nature of AuSable Acres.
In a similar manner the AAPOA defined Covenant #2 regarding building in the Acres with the Architectural Requirements a number of years ago. We now seek to accomplish clarity of Covenant #1 with this document.
While no vote on the adoption of the proposal will be taken on Saturday, the board is seeking additional input from our members. We hope to finalize the new document after this meeting and have the membership vote on its adoption at our General Membership Meeting next July.
We hope many of you will attend.
Rosemary Barry, President AAPOA
