AAPOA Pavilion update

As you know, construction began on our beautiful pavilion in early April. It is nearing completion as I write to you.  We collected $23,669 from members’ generous donations. To date we have $568.00 left. The money was spent on materials and labor, both of which we got at reduced costs. Loyd Brewer and Phil Dooley reduced their labor rate considerably and donated some materials, too. We got discounts on the wood whenever we could. The board knows how to stretch a dollar.

There are a few things left to do. They include installing electricity (pole, cables, switches, lights, etc.), complete the siding, enclose the ceiling, make tables and purchase a gas grill.  Many of these things will be accomplished by the July 2nd picnic.  The electric may take a little longer. We really could use between $4500 – $5500 to complete the project without using our funds that are budgeted for the rest of our expenses.  If anyone would be willing to contribute to the pavilion, it would be greatly appreciated.  Please send a check to AAPOA, Box 8, AuSable Forks, NY 12912 and enclose a note stating that it is for the pavilion.

We know our members will enjoy the pavilion for many years to come. If you haven’t seen it yet, stop by when you get a chance. You won’t be disappointed. Thanks in advance for your continued generosity.
