Bocce Court Moves Toward Completion

As our anniversary got closer, David Plumley worked hard to bring the heavy timbers, seen in the photo below, to his house to cut and notch them for the bocce court frame. It took several trips to the lumber yard to transport all of them and many more hours to get them ready. The continuing rain, unfortunately, has caused the project to stall before they could be installed. It is doubtful that the court will be ready for this weekend.

It will take several additional trips to bring them to the lake, finish preparing the surface, install the timbers and finish the top layer. We hope to have it ready very soon. Thanks to David and all the others who have been trying to get this task completed in time. We really have found the installation much more complicated than originally thought. More to come.
