Food, Fun, Friends, Games all at picnic

Our AAPOA July 2nd picnic was a big hit this year. Old and new friends gathered in the new pavilion and admired the fine work of Loyd Brewer, Phil Dooley and Joe DeMarco.  It was cloudy and chilly but the rain held off.  There were over 100 people in attendance and more children than ever. I am posting some photos and there will be more to see in the next newsletter.

Ready For Some Pot Luck?

Hello, neighbor!!!!

We hope everyone is enjoying the great stretch of September weather—although it’s a bit on the warm side. We just wanted to remind everybody of the pot luck Labor Day afternoon gathering of the AuSable Acres Property Owners’ Association at Lake Eaton this Sunday (September 6th).

Sunday promises to be warm and sunny with no rain in the forecast—at least at this point in time. So, come on down and join your neighbors for the afternoon. You’ll need to bring a covered dish to pass (hot or cold) and, if you choose, an adult beverage for your enjoyment. We’ll supply bottled water, flavored water, paper plates, and utensils.

Hope to see you there!!!

Rain Didn’t Dampen Spirits at the July 4th Picnic

Greg and Buster, the guest dog

Greg relaxes with Buster

100 members and guests attended our July 4th picnic. There was great food, games for kids and lots of friends, old and new,  coming together. We even had a guest dog, Buster, who came first and left last.

Waiting out the RainThe parachute was a big hit

Happily, the downpour didn’t cause people to leave. Everyone went under one of the two tents and waited it out. Next year, the pavilion will be there for just such an occasion.

The parachute was a big hit, once again. There were many people who made this event such a success and I want to thank the Chairperson, Paul Longenderfer, who made sure everything went smoothly at the picnic with wonderful preparation and a great team of helpers. Every year it gets better.

If you missed it, there will be a Potluck Picnic on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015 at 2:00 at Lake Eaton.
