Lake Eaton Shoreline Revitalized by AAPOA volunteers

One mild Sunday in mid December Loyd Brewer, Phil Dooley and Vern Gonyea did a job at Lake Eaton that has been needed for quite a while. The alder trees along the shoreline by the playground and bocce court have been spreading further across the lake front and would eventually completely eliminate it. These hardworking volunteers cut the trees, chipped the branches and hauled everything away. The birch trees were left and now the lake is visible from the road. If you get a chance to take a look at their work, you should. We are so lucky to have such willing AAPOA members for these tasks. It seems that as soon as one project gets done, another pops up. There are now a few trees that have fallen in the lake area. They will have to be removed.

Right now, though, I want to thank Loyd, Phil and Vern for all the work they did. The attached photos show the area before, during and after the clean out. If anyone is interested in volunteering for projects like these in the future, just send me and email at president@37.60.251.185.
