Notice of AAPOA Board Election

There will be an election held at the AAPOA General Membership Meeting on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Community Center in AuSable Forks. There are three (3) seats up for election. Each is for a three (3) year term. They are the seats currently held by Pat Levine, Rosemary Barry and Loyd Brewer. All members in good standing are eligible to run.

These are important positions as they determine the direction of the AAPOA. Our current project, in its early stages, is to build a pavilion for the use of our members at Lake Eaton. The board is responsible for enforcing the deeded Covenants and Restrictions as well as approving construction plans before any structure is built in AuSable Acres. We also prepare and submit an annual budget for member approval and then, of course, manage the finances of the organization. These are just a few of the responsibilities of the board.

As a board member, you are expected to attend two (2) General Membership Meetings a year, one in July and one in the fall. There are also approximately five (5)) board meetings held annually. Board members generally take on some additional responsibilities, as needed, during their term.

If you are interested in running for one of these seats, please send a short bio to Rosemary Barry before March 30, 2014 so that it can be included in the newsletter which will go out in April. If you are considering running and have some questions, please call me at (518) 217-8519. I will try to answer any questions you may have. You can send the bio to me at my email:  president@37.60.251.185. If anyone decides to run after the newsletter is mailed, they can be nominated from the floor at the General Membership Meeting.

I appreciate your consideration.

Rosemary Barry, President AAPOA
