On Thursday, May 3rd, 75 sterile carp were added to Lake Eaton to control the weed growth that has become a real problem over the past years. The fish are between 11-12 inches long. JLKN made a commitment to AAPOA several years ago to undertake the cleanup and, under the direction of John Johanson, they are doing that. The lake will be periodically checked to see how effective the carp is in reducing the number of weeds. If anyone is fishing in Lake Eaton and catches any of these fish, it is important that they get put back into the water.
