There have been a few burglaries in the Acres reported to the NYS police in the past few weeks. If you are going to be away from your home for a period of time, you should make your neighbors aware and have someone check your house for you.

There have also been reports about people not cleaning up after their dogs in the Acres, particularly on AuSable Drive. This is a health issue, and I urge every dog owner to pick up after their pet.

Loose dogs continue to be an issue, too. If you have any incident with a loose dog, contact the Town of Jay and you can get in touch with the Animal Control officer.

We need to be good neighbors for each other so the Acres will continue to be the special place in the Adirondacks that it is!
