On Monday, October 12th I performed a cleanup of Ausable Drive from Ridgetop to 86. I also cleaned debris from Ridgetop and Evergreen lane. After having done this route several times during the last few months, I can report that those areas have stayed reasonably clean..
On the other hand, Ausable Drive from Cross Street to Church Street is a mess. Although that section of Ausable Drive is outside of The Acres, a number of people at the recent Association meeting expressed that they are not happy with the situation.
Therefore I am scheduling a cleanup date for that area on Saturday October 24th meeting at 9:30am at the Pavilion.
All volunteers are welcome. If we have at least 6-8 people the job should be done within 1 1/2 hours. We will provide bags and pick up tools.
All garbage will be returned to the Pavilion.
Many thanks to Phyllis Fox ,Richard Apelt and Joyce Phillips for having done the worst section of Ausable Drive [Cross to Church Street ] for the past several years.
Also, the people who have pledged to keep individual roads in The Acres debris free have been doing a great job.
Living in such a beautiful area deserves us maintaining our surroundings..
As for the individual street pledgers, please keep up what you are doing. It looks great.
